The guilt is really in the iPhone

The guilt is really in the iPhone

Things you just wouldn’t admit even on anonymous forums.

Now let me put your mind at rest. You are in safe company. I know you absolutely did not buy that little “thingy” because it can interface seamlessly with the cloud. And I know you didn’t buy that gadget because it provides you the greatest level of functionality for Small to Medum sized Enterprises (SMEs). Don’t worry I know you are as eager as thousands of other to make money and along the way you just like pressing those nice buttons that feel so great and getting that physical feedback on that program. Well, you are not the only one. And today I am going to introduce you to my first 5 guilty pleasures that I think you might enjoy and could even help you in your pursuit to learn how to make money online.

1.Deliberately confusing your sat nav: So you’ve have plotted the quickest journey from her to Target. The thing is you re now just going to take a tiny little detour then your wonderful TessTess chimes in – “Perform a legal U-turn”, “Perform a legal U-Turn, just sounding a little tense now, and then “I said perform a legal U-turn” you feel, as she practically screams at you. I am not sure this little app is going to help your home based business.

2. Smashing the ball in Wii Tennis: OK so I know what you do, the kids are going for it and you are on the sofa just sort of waving your arms around as though about to slip off into a semi-comatose sleep. But don’t you think it would be so much better to lift that Wii-mote way above your head, violently jerk your wrist and arm down and then pin back your ears for that sweet whack as your virtual tennis racket hits the even more virtual ball. Guilty please as you win the set? Oh me oh my it surely was. Time spent focusing on your business as you make money working online? I don’t think so. So IM Wii lovers – just a few minutes at lunch time, and in the evening with the kids, but don’t turn to the Wii for comfort when you find  a challenging day and just can’t face the business.

3. Cranking up your 5 Point Surround Sound for the THX……ohhhhhhhh Yes: It’s 250V per channel in that baby of an amplifier. Sever not 5 surround sound speakers and the mother of all subs. The next door neighbours both sides are out for the weekend. She who must be obeyed is having a well deserved pampering break with her girl friends – another full weekend and so call over the boys and pop in the Blue ray, crank it up, wind it up, its Pearl Harbour and we are really there brother. Emmmm – perhaps just on weekend a year – of course when are really make money online, you can select those B&W speakers and the latest LED 100 inch TV and the full cinema electric massage chair for the den…..ooo me…..ooo my.

4. Looking at your blog’s user statistics: Now come on, some of us really have to admit we know its only our mums that read our blogs and that is only because you set her home page to it the last time you did that little extra on her computer – but what the hec, we all have to start somewhere. Each and every day you rush like a man possessed on to Statcounter, Technorati, or Google Analytics just to see how you’re powering away.

5. The iPhone Unlock Swipe: So you have used iPhone every day since you bought it, but even with all those fantastic apps that you’ve sucked down from the cloud, just cant’ compare to the first thing you do with your iPhone each and every day: gently, tenderly, ever so caressingly, swiping your finger from left to right across that wonderful Unlock button. It just has to be the nearest thing to heaven and you just love it. Now do it in the morning, first thing. Allow it to lift your spirits and then get on with the job, get the traffic, build the product, pull in the sales.

I know these were for the guys….but I promise girls, I will get she who must be obeyed to come up with a list just for you.

May your success be more than you can hold!

Kevin
